AUSTRALIA — We've all done it before, and it's nothing to be proud of: You're going about your business and accidentally break something. Then, instead of reporting it, you slink off like a coward.
Maybe when you were younger, you cracked a neighbor's window while playing baseball or started a fire in the vacant lot with firecrackers. Or, more recently, you might've dinged someone's car in the grocery store parking lot. All of these situations should absolutely end with an apology and resolution. But when the moment arises, some people just casually start whistling and stroll away, hoping nobody notices.
That's what happened in this video.
According to the description, this sneaky little cover-up occurred in Australia — but it could've happened in just about any neighborhood. The owner, who fortuitously has a doorbell camera, figured something was up and started fishing around.
"Near the end of the video, you see my neighbor driving past them and they all suddenly act like 'nothing's going on here, mate,'" it states. "And off they go without even a note in the letterbox to apologize."
Poor fellow. It's gotta be super frustrating this trio of rascals pulled off their stunt in broad daylight.
