RECORDING STUDIO — Eleven years ago, country singer Randy Travis thought he'd never have a hand in music production again after suffering a massive stroke.

The stroke, which occurred in 2013, paralyzed his right side and damaged an area of his brain that controls speech and language. Travis was given a 2% chance of survival following the medical incident but miraculously survived.

The singer has not yet recovered the ability to sing, but recent technology has allowed him to find his voice, of sorts, again.

Through working with another singer, James DuPre, a computer program that generates an AI-version of Travis' voice, and his longtime producer Kyle Lehning, the country star has released a new song, "Where That Came From." In this video, CBS Morning reporter Lee Cowan reveals how it all came together.
